Skybar in Flores is a bit of a surprise package. You order a pizza expecting a modest personal size, and what lands on your table is a medium that's absolutely massive. It makes you wonder, just how big is their large pizza? It's a mystery that might just need solving on a return visit.

The place itself has a great vibe, with a view that's nothing short of impressive. It's easy to see why it's a favourite spot for the locals to bring their dates. There's something about the twinkling lights and the laid-back atmosphere that just sets the mood right.

And let's not forget their nachos. When they say 'plate of nachos', they mean a plate that's practically overflowing. It's a mountain of crunchy goodness that's sure to satisfy even the biggest of appetites. Skybar is definitely a place to check out when you're in Flores. Delirio

Delirio, a quaint little spot in town, is the kind of place that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's got this charming, almost twee vibe that's just too cute to resist and you half expect to see Harry and Cho on an awkward date there.

Now, let's talk about their coffee. It's the kind of coffee that makes you sit up and take notice. It's the kind of coffee that makes you want to savour every last drop.

And the food? Oh, the food. Their croissants are a dream. Flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of crisp. It's the kind of pastry that makes you close your eyes in delight. But the star of the show has to be their French toast. It's sweet, it's indulgent, and it's the perfect way to start your day.

The south-west corner of the island has a number of souvenirs shops, with wood carvings and stonework for sale. Naturally carvings of Tikal are the most common.

Swimming

All around the island, there are easy spots to jump into the lake and have a swim. The water is warm though its important to keep an eye out for the various boats running people around.

Sunset Cruise

Our evening kicked off with a Sunset Cruise. We hopped aboard a flat raft-style boat, decked out with LED lights that added a bit of sparkle to the setting sun. The boat was kitted out with seats and a makeshift dance floor, and a booming speaker that kept the tunes flowing.

As for the drinks, they were flowing freely, perhaps a bit too freely for some. A word of advice for future cruisers - the lack of bathroom facilities on board might make you rethink that extra beer.

But let's talk about the sunset. It was nothing short of spectacular. The sky was ablaze with hues of orange, pink, and purple, creating a breathtaking backdrop for our cruise. It was one of those moments that make you stop and appreciate the beauty of nature. As if the stunning sunset wasn't enough, we were treated to a fireworks display.

The cruise wrapped up around 7, just in time for us to head back into town for dinner.
