Silema

Heading towards Silema, I walked past Café Caba, a restaurant with a wide outdoor seating area overlooking an inlet.

Silema is one of the wealthier areas in Malta, with upmarket shops and restaurants.

I had a calzone that was a very unusual combination of olives, bacon, ricotta and onions. Interesting, but not really my cup of tea.

From there, I walked further into Silema, around the bay, seeing the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

I then reached “the point” the main shopping centre and viewing area over to Valletta I stopped here for a while in a small bar to rest my weary feet. From the point, you can also see the redevelopment of some old ruins.

After the point, I sat at an ocean side Café watching the world go by for a while.
